MCF Recycling/Green Initiative

While we are always open to suggestions and continue to focus on our environmental impact, examples of our green initiative to date include:

  • Serve beverages in original containers (reduce need for plastic cups from well over 80,000 to less than 10,000)
  • Recycle all beverage containers
  • Beverages refrigerated in reefer reduces amount of ice required to keep items cold
  • Recycling bins provided for empty cans/plastic bottles
  • Trash receptacles placed throughout grounds
  • Rather than flyer mailouts MCF target patrons through social media and other non-print marketing vehicles whenever possible. This reduces the amount of programs and schedules required for printing/distribution
  • Plastic drink tokens instead of paper to allow for repeat use year-year
  • Reuse event banners & signage year-year
  • Rather than printed banners with event details that change from year to year, info is shared with our patrons day of event on projector screens for all to see
  • Provide shuttle service for all visiting performers to reduce need for rental vehicles
